Sri
Lankan Help is a non-profit organization
founded by two volunteers who wanted to do something
meaningful and tangible for the Sri Lankan victims
of the December 26 tsunami. The two founders, along
with four other like-minded volunteers, traveled
to Sri Lanka in January at their own expense and
provided relief to those affected by the tsunami.
By the end of the team's stay in the country, they
had personally interacted with thousands of
children and parents in camps and villages along
the devastated South and East coasts, and with
the help of workers from the camps, the team completed
more than 16 homes so
that more than 70 people could return to their
homes and begin rebuilding their lives. The work
has
not ended, and we have continued funding important
projects that we started such as homebuilding,
well restoration, and job creation, all through
the generous support of contributors.
The key is that not one cent is spent on our overhead - it all goes to the Sri Lankan people. Please join us in this worthy cause. Thank you.
We encourage you to look at some of the very moving drawings from the children and the photos of our wonderful experience in Sri Lanka.
